Criteria for identifying Saubagya Production Villages
As the basis for identifying production villages, factors such as whether the village has a group of people who make products that are unique to the area, or whether there are people who have the knowledge to make a particular product, or the availability of resources or raw materials in the area should be taken into consideration.
The minimum number of families directly involved in the production is 20 or more.
Ability to further increase production by increasing the number of direct producers in the production village.
Ability to produce continuously, with enhancing product quality.
The market potential for identified products. (High demand/market for products)
Ability to maintain a continuous source of income for the beneficiary. (Average monthly income of at least Rs. 30,000)
The ability of the producer to carry out their production independently after a reasonable period of time after starting.
Selection of production areas according to regional, geographical, social, and environmental suitability.
